A Parent’s Guide to Summer Fun at Knight’s Action Park

8/14/2026

Summer is meant for relaxing and spending quality time with the ones you love. While the days of summer are beginning to wane, there are still plenty of chances to carve out time with the family, and what better way to spend it than with an action-packed day at Knight’s Action Park? Make your day out memorable with these helpful tips from a parent’s perspective and ensure your whole crew has an amazing day.

Arriving at the Park

Look, as parents, we get the temptation to sleep in during the summer too. But as the saying goes, the early bird is first in line for water slides (trust us, it’s a real saying). Show up right as the park opens, and you’ll snag not only primo parking — which, by the way, is 100% free — but also guarantee you’ll be among the first to take on our thrilling water rides for the day! Speaking of…

Fun for the Kids

Many attractions at Splash Kingdom can be enjoyed by all ages, though rides like the Devil Ray, the Royal Flush, and the Bermuda Triangle come with some height requirements; riders on each of these slides must be at least 42 inches. Not to worry — Splash Kingdom also features numerous shallow and zero-depth attractions exclusively for the kiddos. Buccaneer’s Cove, Seal Bay, and Sunshine Sub are just for visitors under 48 inches, while the wet-and-wild playground Camille’s Reef is just for kids under 54 inches. Other attractions, like the Wave Pool and the Caribbean Wild River, have no height restrictions, though children should be accompanied by a parent.

Break for Lunch

A morning spent bouncing from one attraction to another is sure to stir everyone’s appetite. When the stomachs start rumbling, grab a bite at Barnacle Bill’s, which features burgers, chicken sandwiches, pretzels, nachos, pizza, and more with shaded seating close by. Brown-bagging it? No problem! While coolers aren’t allowed inside Splash Kingdom, families are welcome to pack a lunch and picnic either in designated dry-side areas; re-entry to the water park is allowed with wristbands.

Safety First

Safety is our No. 1 priority at Knight’s Action Park; lifeguards posted at every attraction are trained to provide first aid if needed. Additionally, life jackets are available throughout the park at no additional cost; families are also welcome to bring their own life jackets, floaties, or baby rafts. Families should also take proper precautions throughout the day: apply and reapply sunscreen as needed and stay hydrated with plenty of water.

We also encourage guests to keep their valuables safe. On-site locker rentals are available to keep items safe and secure while you enjoy your action-packed day! Families may leave bags on chairs located throughout the park; however, Knight’s Action Park is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
